Hansen is an Associate in the firm's Corporate Section and a member of several practice groups including the Securities Regulation and Corporate Finance and Real Estate groups.
Hansen counsels a wide variety of clients, from private equity funds to non-profit groups, on diverse transactional matters including real estate development, public and private offerings of debt and equity, mergers and acquisitions, and ongoing regulatory compliance. In the affordable housing space, Hansen has experience representing developers, non-profit corporations, syndicators and equity investors while working closely with their respective banks and counsel. He has advised real estate clients on projects ranging from the development of multi-use projects utilizing multiple layers of financing from both private and public funding sources to targeted acquisitions for individuals and family offices.
Hansen regularly counsels clients on compliance with state and federal LIHTC laws and regulations, as well as on securities regulatory issues related to the 1933 Act, 1934 Act, Investment Company Act, Investment Advisers Act, FINRA, and the EB-5 Investor Visa Program administered by the U.S. Custom and Immigration Services.
Hansen has a high level of fluency (DELE C2) in written and spoken Spanish and enjoys the opportunity to use this skill in his practice and pro bono work.
