Kevin is Co-Chair of Maynard Cooper’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group. His practice includes representing creditors, distressed borrowers, committees and other stakeholders in bankruptcy, litigation and workout proceedings. Kevin also represents borrowers and lenders in complex financing transactions, and developers and owners in real estate matters.
Kevin has represented clients in every aspect of the Chapter 11 process. Additionally, he represents lenders, borrowers, trustees, receivers and other interest-holders federal and state litigation arising from workout, distress and financing matters. With Huntsville’s large concentration of government agencies, defense contractors and service providers in the government space, Kevin is knowledgeable and experienced with respect to the unique nuances present in bankruptcy and distress issues arising from such matters.
Kevin has also represented a number of owners and developers in all aspects of real estate from transactions to litigation. He has represented clients in medical, office, hotel, government and retail projects, including negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, management agreements, and all forms of agreements dealing with shared ownership, mixed-use and condominium developments.
Being licensed in Alabama and Tennessee, Kevin represents clients throughout the Southeast as well as nationwide.
