Starr devotes her practice to assisting multinational clients with their privacy, information governance, and e-discovery needs.
Starr has extensive experience in developing globally compliant privacy programs, information governance plans, and record retention policies to manage the content and volume of data while protecting its safety and security. She has successfully developed and implemented plans and polices for government contractors, banks, insurers, manufacturers, brokerage firms, and more. Starr also assists organizations with implementation and training to ensure organizational compliance with plans and policies after development.
Starr is particularly equipped to support organizations in attaining and maintaining GDPR compliance. The International Association of Privacy Professionals, the only globally-recognized credentialing program in information privacy, has certified Starr in privacy program management (“CIPM”) and in European data protection (“CIPP/E”).
In her e-discovery practice, Starr offers strategic and legal advice to clients involved in complex litigation matters. She assists both plaintiff and defendant businesses and individuals in numerous fields navigate multifaceted discovery issues and reach successful resolutions in their antitrust, commercial, contract, fiduciary, and intellectual property disputes.
