Tiffany is an Associate in the firm’s Labor and Employment practice.
She represents employers in litigation and federal agency proceedings across a broad range of labor and employment matters, including EEOC charges and cases arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Section 1981, The Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and various state employment, workers’ compensation, and tort laws, both inside and outside the state of Alabama. Her experience includes defending a broad range of employers, including municipalities, hospitals, staffing agencies, large manufacturing facilities, small businesses, and others. She has also worked on various Constitutional and civil rights litigation issues arising under Section 1983.
Tiffany also offers day-to-day legal advice, consultation, and training to employers and management in all aspects of the employment relationship. She has experience in drafting and updating employment handbooks and policies and in advising clients on discipline, contracts, policies, reductions in force, and other personnel management and human resources functions.
Prior to Maynard Cooper, Tiffany spent a year as a term clerk for Chief Judge Karon O. Bowdre of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. She utilizes her understanding of the federal district courts gained during her time clerking to effectively represent clients in federal litigation and has obtained favorable dispositive rulings on behalf of clients at various stages throughout that process.
She is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. While at Virginia, she was named to the Order of the Coif and received the Bracewell & Giuliani Best Oral Argument Award. She participated in the William Minor Lile Moot Court Competition where she was a semifinalist. Tiffany also served on the editorial board of The Journal of Law and Politics.
Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and graduated summa cum laude from Harding University.
