Huntsville, Ala. – Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C. is pleased to announce that Gary L. Rigney has joined the Government Contracts practice in the firm’s Huntsville office. “Maynard Cooper is very excited to welcome Gary to our team. Mr. Rigney has more than 40 years of experience in the practice of law. Over that time, he has developed extensive expertise in government contracts and has represented contractors successfully in all phases of their contracting activities, in such areas as bid protests, contract disputes, contract terminations, and suspensions and debarments, at GAO, the Boards of Contract Appeals, the SBA OHA, the Court of Federal Claims, and the Federal Circuit. Mr. Rigney also regularly defends individuals in security clearance matters before the Defense Office of Hearing and Appeals and in federal court. In addition, he regularly advises and represents contractors through a broad range of audits and investigations with DCMA, DCAA, OFCCP, and CID, and counsels contractors on corporate and strategic issues related to their contracting efforts. As an electrical engineer, Mr. Rigney also routinely assists companies with patent prosecutions, licensing issues, and data rights.
