Leland is a Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice at Maynard Cooper. Leland assists creditors, debtors, committees and fiduciaries in a wide range of complex disputes and distressed relationships. He represents financial institutions, indenture trustees, trade creditors, insurers, receivers, trustees and investors in bankruptcy, commercial litigation and extra-judicial proceedings.
Leland often helps stakeholders in Chapter 11 restructurings across the United States, and he has experience in all areas of bankruptcy and insolvency. He frequently represents clients in the purchase and sale of assets in bankruptcy and receiverships, extending post-petition financing and litigating preferential transfer and avoidance proceedings in bankruptcy.
