Ryan is a member of Maynard Cooper’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice. He represents debtors and creditors, ranging from distressed debt investors to large financial institutions, in restructuring/workout efforts and all aspects of bankruptcy, including the claims objection process, fraudulent transfer and preference actions, motions for stay relief or adequate protection, motions to dismiss or convert, and Section 363 sales. Ryan’s practice also includes the representation of creditors in debt collection litigation in both state and federal courts.
Ryan received his B.A., cum laude, at Samford University, and he earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he was selected as a Caruthers Fellow, was a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, and was a Scholar of Merit. Upon graduation from law school, Ryan completed a two year clerkship for the Honorable Tamara O. Mitchell in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama, Southern Division.
