BIRMINGHAM IS PREMIERE CITY FOR MILLENNIALS TO LIVE, WORK & PLAY
According to the City Council, "Birmingham is fast becoming the epi-center where a millennial’s career and social life can skyrocket." Zagat's, the country’s premiere food guide, says Birmingham is the next "Hot food city", Forbes Magazine lists it as one of the "most affordable cities" and Railroad Park earned top honors in USA Today for moving the city forward.
In addition to new businesses and restaurants, residents say festivals, community fundraising events and venue activities are keeping young professionals in the city. Innovation Depot’s CEO Devon Laney says the city's medical research with UAB, growing IT and bio-technology jobs are attracting companies and customers. Uptown is an entertainment destination site, with family-friendly neighborhoods breaking ground around Regions Field.
In the video released by the City Council, Maynard & Gale attorney Nichelle Nix is featured discussing the draw of moving to Birmingham and all it has to offer.
