BRANDON STROY JOINS MAYNARD'S IP PRACTICE
Maynard & Gale continues to add to the roster of talented attorneys in its San Francisco office with the addition of Brandon Stroy. Stroy will work in the Intellectual Property Litigation and Technology practices of Maynard. Stroy received his J.D. from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University. He comes to Maynard from Bingham McCutchen and joins his colleague, Sasha Rao, who started with Maynard at the end of October.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of Maynard’s IP group in its San Francisco office,” Stroy said. “Maynard offers a great combination of established excellence and a growth mindset that fits perfectly with the culture of San Francisco and Silicon Valley.”
Stroy brings significant experience to Maynard in the area of IP Litigation, specifically in the area of electronics, software and life sciences. He also has experience handling post-grant challenges in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
“Brandon is another strong addition to our growing team of attorneys in San Francisco,” said Managing Shareholder Mark Drew. “We’re rapidly building a strong intellectual property presence in California. His experience and prior work for clients aligns well with the existing talent at Maynard, and we’re excited to welcome him to the firm.” Stroy’s addition is the latest to an expanding group of IP attorneys in the firm's San Francisco, Huntsville, Ala. and Birmingham, Ala. offices who are registered to practice in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. The nationwide reach of Maynard’s IP attorneys includes experienced trial lawyers who have litigated patent, trademark and copyright cases in more than 30 Federal District Courts.
“It is a real coup for us to have attracted two of the Bay Area's top IP litigators to Maynard & Gale,” said Drew Kitchen, Managing Partner of the firm’s San Francisco office. “I believe that once Brandon heard from Sasha about our vision for the firm in the Bay Area, he was excited. With his credentials, background and talent, he had numerous opportunities with other firms, but he ultimately bought in to what we are building here on the West Coast. We are thrilled that he has joined us."
