Maynard & Gale (Maynard) is pleased to announce that Fournier J. "Boots" Gale, III, former General Counsel, Senior Executive Vice President, and Corporate Secretary with Regions, and Kevin W. Patton, former Senior Vice President and Head of Litigation with Regions Financial Corporation, have rejoined the Firm and will practice from Maynard’s Birmingham office.

“Maynard has a long and impressive history of talented attorneys transitioning to join global, national, and local clients in legal leadership roles,” said Jeff Grantham, Managing Shareholder. “We are always excited when there is an occasion for these seasoned attorneys to make their way back to Maynard.”

Founding member of the Firm and long-time General Counsel, Senior Executive Vice President, and Corporate Secretary at Regions, Fournier J. "Boots" Gale, III, rejoined Maynard as Of Counsel earlier this year. Mr. Gale lends his 45+ years of experience to the Firm's litigation and corporate practices offering specialized knowledge and expertise in the heavily regulated banking and financial industry sector. Mr. Gale previously served as the Firm's Managing Shareholder and Chairman. He is also a former president of the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar Association.

For over a decade, Mr. Patton was Head of Litigation for Regions, one of the nation’s largest providers of consumer and commercial banking, wealth management, and mortgage products and services. Prior to his leadership role at Regions, Mr. Patton was a Shareholder with Maynard from 1996 until 2008. He earned his J.D. and LL.M. from Duke University School of Law, and he holds a Bachelors from the United States Naval Academy. As a Shareholder, Mr. Patton provides invaluable insight to members of Maynard’s Banking and Financial Services Practice. He will also work with numerous other practice groups who regularly represent clients operating in this industry to further strengthen the Firm’s comprehensive client services.
