John Bolus Featured in Trustee Spotlight for the Eleventh Circuit Historical Society
Maynard Shareholder John Bolus serves on the Board of Trustees for the Eleventh Circuit Historical Society. The board is composed of lawyers representing the states of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, each of which is served by the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. The Eleventh Circuit Historical Society published a spotlight on John in its 2021 Summer Newsletter. The article speaks to John’s background and his experiences in the Eleventh Circuit and its influence on his successful legal career.
The Eleventh Circuit Historical Society is a private, nonprofit organization. Although the Society has no legal connection with the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit or the federal government, its primary purpose is to keep a record of the history of the courts of the Eleventh Circuit as institutions and of the judges who have served these courts. In this regard, the judges in the old Fifth Circuit from the states of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia are included in the Society's area of interest. In addition, the Society has a broader mission to foster public appreciation of the federal court system in the states encompassed by the Eleventh Circuit.
Maynard and many of our clients have a strong history and significant current presence in the Eleventh Circuit. We are proud of John's representation of our Firm in the Society.
