Maynard is pleased to announce the addition of two attorneys to our Insurance & Financial Services Litigation and Real Estate Groups.

Lindsay Whitworth, Shareholder, Real Estate, Birmingham

Charles Chineduh is an experienced litigator and partner in the Firm's Insurance and Financial Services Litigation Practice and ERISA Practice. He represents life, health and disability insurers in a diverse range of disputes from breach of contract and bad faith claims including punitive damages allegations to various manner of ERISA-governed litigation involving employee welfare benefit plans. He handles on behalf of carriers litigation concerning unfair competition claims, fraud/misrepresentation, coverage disputes, claims handling practices, as well as claims concerning insurance-related investment products. Chineduh also has significant experience litigating and advising clients in connection with various business and commercial matters, contractual disputes, and general corporate matters. He has successfully represented clients in all phases of litigation from the pre-litigation stage through final resolution and appeal, in both state and federal courts. He began his legal career at a prominent law firm in Los Angeles where his practice included major injury, premises liability, wrongful death, product defect and mass tort actions. Prior to joining Maynard, Chineduh was a partner in the Los Angeles office of one of California’s oldest law firms.
Lindsay Whitworth is a Shareholder with the firm’s Real Estate Practice returning to the Firm after a brief stint in-house. She has experience handling all aspects of real estate transactions and the complex issues that often arise during real estate projects. Lindsay represents developers through property acquisition, financing, construction, and property management. She also represents lenders on construction and permanent financing deals. She has extensive knowledge of and experience conducting thorough due diligence in a wide range of matters. Prior to joining Maynard, Whitworth was Associate Counsel for one of the largest national retail specialty chains in America. In this role, she assisted with the management of a 250+ lease portfolio, including negotiating new leases, and worked closely with one of its subsidiaries in the areas of acquisitions, construction, financing and leasing of shopping center developments. She is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. She earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Cumberland School of Law and her B.A. summa cum laude from Auburn University.
