BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (January 21, 2020) — Maynard Cooper & Gale is pleased to announce David Morton has joined the Birmingham office as an Associate in its Real Estate and Financial Services practice group.
Morton focuses his practice on the representation of buyers, sellers, developers, landlords, and tenants in commercial real estate transactions involving acquisition, development, leasing, and financing of real property. He also represents lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured financing transactions. Morton received his J.D. from The University of Alabama School of Law and his B.S. in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Auburn University.
Morton is the fourth lateral attorney to join Maynard Cooper’s Real Estate & Financial Services practice in the last three months. David Kinman, Shareholder and leader of the Commercial Lending sub-group, Allison Smalley, Of Counsel, and Caroleene Dobson, Associate, all recently joined Maynard Cooper from other law firms. In addition, Maynard Cooper expanded its national geographic footprint to Texas in September 2019 with the addition of a Dallas office and real estate attorneys Matt Hudnall, Karen Cowden, and Allan Katz. In November 2019, the Firm added a Nashville office to its credentials, onboarding an experienced team comprised of six real estate and corporate attorneys.
