Maynard Adds Experienced Attorneys in Birmingham and Huntsville

Maynard & Gale is pleased to announce the addition of James L. “Jim” Sanders, III to the Firm’s Real Estate and Finance Practice Group and Haley Stencel in the Firm’s Government Solution Group. An experienced Associate, Sanders will work from the Firm’s Birmingham office and Stencel in the Huntsville office.
Sanders’ practice focuses on the representation of finance and real estate transactions, with a concentration on loans under the programs of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He will also represent clients in all types of real estate transactions involving the acquisition, disposition, development, and leasing of real property.
Sanders received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served on the Alabama Law Review. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama.
As a member of the Government Solutions Group, Stencel represents government contractors with transactional, regulatory and procurement matters. Specifically, her practice includes preparing and negotiating subcontract agreements, teaming agreements, and joint venture arrangements as well as entity formation, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Stencel’s regulatory practice includes advising companies on compliance issues under the FAR and the SBA’s regulations. Additionally, she represents government contractors in bid protest and claim actions against government agencies related to procurement activities.
Stencel received her LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law and her Juris Doctor degree from Samford University, where she graduated cum laude. She is fluent in Spanish.
