MAYNARD ADDS NINE NEW ASSOCIATES

Birmingham, AL. Maynard & Gale is pleased to announce the addition of nine Associates to its ranks.

Harris Anthony joins Maynard’s Estate, Trust and Business Planning and Fiduciary Advisory Services practice groups. Harris received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School where he worked with the “Intellectual Property and the Arts Legal Clinic” and volunteered with Law Students for Innocence & Prisoner Rights. He holds a B.S. summa cum laude in Economics and Finance from the University of Alabama and was a Presidential Scholar and the recipient of the Faculty Excellence Award in Economics. He will work from the Firm’s Birmingham office.
Allison Booth joins the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group in Maynard’s Huntsville office. Allison earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Cumberland School of Law where she served as Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review, volunteered at the Center for Children, Law and Ethics, and was named a Caruthers Fellow. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Birmingham Southern College.
Wes Bulgarella joins Maynard’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group from another Birmingham law firm. Wes brings experience in the banking and financial services industry, having represented a wide variety of creditors involved in the bankruptcy process, including banks, investment funds, note buyers, and other financial institutions. Wes received his J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law where he served on the Moot Court Board and was an editor for the Mississippi Law Journal. He received his B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Alabama.
Sarah Daley joins the Birmingham office as a member of Maynard’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Prior to joining the Firm, Sarah worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Keith Starrett in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Additionally, Sarah worked in the Office of the Attorney Generals in both Mississippi and Virginia. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law where she served as the Media & Technology Editor for the Journal of Law & Politics. She holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi and an M.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama.
Zachary “Zac” Goozee joins Maynard’s Corporate Section and is a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions, Emerging Businesses, and Private Equity practice groups. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law where he served as Articles Editor for the Virginia Law & Business Review, was recognized as a Hardy Cross Dillard Scholar, and worked for the University’s Entrepreneurial Law Clinic assisting emerging growth clients through the entity formation process. Zac holds a B.S.B.A. summa cum laude in Finance from Auburn University and was a Presidential Scholar and member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He will work from the Firm’s Birmingham office.
Melissa Neri joins the Litigation Section in Maynard’s Huntsville office. Prior to joining the Firm, Melissa served as a pro se law clerk for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia and as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael F. Urbanski. She earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law where she served as the Symposium Editor for the Emory International Law Review, Vice President of the Asian American Law Students Association, and President of Street Law. She also received the Dean’s Award for Public Service while at Emory. Melissa earned her B.A. in History and Business Administration from Fordham University and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
Spencer Newman joins Maynard’s Corporate Section and will work from the Firm’s Huntsville office. Spencer earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law where he served as Associate Case Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal and was a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council. Spencer is a Huntsville native and holds a B.A. in History from Mississippi State University.
Brock Phillips joins the Labor and Employment Practice Group in Maynard’s Birmingham office. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law where he served as the Development Editor on the Managing Board of the Journal of Law & Politics. While in law school, Brock also worked in the Appellate Litigation Clinic and successfully briefed and argued a case in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He holds a B.A. summa cum laude in Political Science from Auburn University.
Mary Caroline Wynn joins Maynard’s Insurance Litigation Practice Group in the Birmingham office. Mary Caroline earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law where she served as the Executive Editor of the Alabama Law Review and was a national quarterfinalist on the ABA National Moot Court Team. She holds a B.A. summa cum laude in Interdisciplinary Arts from the University of Alabama and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
