Maynard is pleased to announce that Ashe P. Puri has joined the Firm’s office in Los Angeles as a Partner in the Intellectual Property Practice.

Puri is a seasoned trial lawyer who has served as lead counsel in dozens of patent infringement and trade secret cases throughout the United States. He has successfully tried cases involving a broad range of technologies, including electronics, computer systems, medical devices and consumer products.

“We are excited to have Ashe join our growing national team of intellectual property attorneys,” said Sasha Rao, Chair of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice and Partner in the San Francisco office. “I have known Ashe for 17 years, and know that his deep experience handling complex patent disputes will be a great match for our clients.”

Puri was previously a partner at Fox Rothschild. Recognized among the most influential minority attorneys in L.A., Puri serves on the board of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association and has held similar or other leadership roles within the South Asian Bar Association, Asian Pacific American Bar Association, New York Intellectual Property Law Association, and the American Bar Association. Puri earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, and he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Puri’s move to Maynard comes on the heels of the addition of Chris Harnett to the Intellectual Property Practice in New York City. Harnett, with nearly 30 years of experience, has a successful record trying patent infringement and trade secret cases involving pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, computer systems, and consumer products.
