MAYNARD ADDS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ATTORNEY TO GROWING SAN FRANCISCO OFFICE

Maynard & Gale is pleased to welcome Chitra M. Kalyanaraman as Of Counsel in the firm’s San Francisco office where she will be a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group.
“We are excited to have Chitra join our firm and our existing team of intellectual property attorneys,” said Sasha Rao, Chair of Maynard’s Intellectual Property Practice. “Chitra’s strong computer science background and extensive experience in the computer and electrical arts make her a great addition to our nationwide IP practice.”
Chitra joins Maynard from the D.C. office of Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto where she prosecuted patents in the computer, electrical, and mechanical arts over a wide range of technical areas. “I am looking forward to working with Maynard’s innovative clients in the Bay Area,” Chitra said. In addition to patent prosecution, Chitra also has experience in patent infringement litigation and in drafting petitions in U.S. Patent and Trademark Office post-grant contested proceedings, including reexamination and inter partes review proceedings, representing both requestors and patent owners. Chitra received her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
