MAYNARD ATTORNEY JOHN N. BOLUS ELECTED TO THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE ASSOCIATION OF LIFE INSURANCE COUNSEL
Maynard & Gale PC is pleased to announce that attorney John Bolus has been elected to the Board of Governors of the Association of Life Insurance Counsel to serve a four-year term. The Board of Governors is the governing body of the Association, providing long term direction for meeting the Association’s goals that include effective delivery of legal services to the life insurance industry, both internally and through external counsel, and furthering the education and professional abilities of life insurance lawyers.
John Bolus, Shareholder, co-chairs Maynard & Gale’s General Litigation practice and also serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. He has broad experience in commercial litigation, including securities class actions and shareholder derivative actions, individual and class-wide insurance and annuity cases, and a variety of other types of cases, whether individual, class action, or mass action. Bolus has defended these actions in state and federal courts across Alabama, the Southeast, and in many other states across the country. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and his law degree from Vanderbilt University. The Association of Life Insurance Counsel (ALIC) is a non-profit professional association founded in 1913, with over 500 members across the United States. Members of the ALIC serve life insurance companies, their stockholders, policy holders, and broader constituencies. The ALIC’s mission focuses on furnishing scholarship on the legal issues challenging life insurance companies in addition to creating fellowship for members’ professional and personal growth.
