MAYNARD CONTINUES ITS GROWTH WITH ADDITION OF EIGHT NEW ATTORNEYS

Maynard & Gale is pleased to announce the addition of eight attorneys, continuing the Firm’s tradition as one of the largest and leading law firms in the region. This newest group of attorneys reinforces the depth and strength of numerous services offered by the firm. Among the group, Maynard welcomes six attorneys to its Birmingham office, one to its Huntsville office, and one to its Mobile office.
Braxton Thrash joins Maynard’s ERISA and Group Insurance Litigation Practice as an experienced Associate in the Firm’s Birmingham office. Upon graduation from law school, Braxton worked for four years in the private sector as a trial and appellate lawyer and served as a Judicial Law Clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge John England III, Northern District of Alabama. Braxton earned his J.D. manga cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2010, where he received the Order of the Coif distinction and was a semifinalist in the Campbell Moot Court Competition. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from The University of Alabama. Braxton is admitted to practice in Alabama and Mississippi.
Stewart Alvis joins Maynard’s Litigation Practice as an Associate in the Firm’s Birmingham office. Stewart earned his J.D. summa cum laude from Cumberland School of Law, where he served as Acquisitions Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and was a member of the National Trial Team which finished as a co-finalist in the Regionals and in the top 8 during the Nationals. Stewart received his B.A. summa cum laude from The University of Alabama.
Laura Ezell joins Maynard’s Corporate, Securities and Tax Practice as an Associate in the Firm’s Birmingham office, where she will focus her practice on mergers & acquisitions and securities matters. Laura earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she received the Order of the Coif distinction and served as an editor on the Vanderbilt Law Review. Laura earned her B.A. from Duke University.
Bowman Givhan joins Maynard’s Corporate, Securities and Tax Practice as an Associate in the firm’s Birmingham office. Bowman earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he also earned a Certificate in Transnational Legal Studies and was an editor on the Georgetown Journal of International Law. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from The University of Alabama.
John Juricich joins Maynard’s Corporate, Securities and Tax Practice as an Associate in the firm’s Huntsville office. John earned his J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he received the Order of the Barristers distinction and was Champion of the 2016 Pace National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. John earned his B.A. from The University of Alabama.
Kendra Key joins Maynard’s Banking and Finance Practice as an Associate in the firm’s Birmingham office, after completing a one-year clerkship for the Honorable David F. Hamilton, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Bloomington, IN. Kendra earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she was the winner and Best Oralist in the Moot Court Competition, President of the Black Law Students Association, and Symposium Editor of the Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from The University of Alabama.
Irene Motles joins Maynard’s Insurance and Financial Services Litigation Practice as an Associate in the firm’s Birmingham office. Irene earned her J.D. cum laude from The University of Alabama School of Law, where she was a Hugo L. Black Scholar, member of the Alabama Law Review, and recognized as a Top Overall Oralist by the Hispanic National Bar Association during the 2016 Moot Court Competition. Irene received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Evan Parrott joins Maynard’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice as an Associate in the firm’s Mobile office, after completing a two-year clerkship with U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Neil P. Olack, Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, and a one-year clerkship for U.S. Magistrate Judge William E. Cassady, Southern District of Alabama. Evan earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he served on the Executive Board of the Mississippi Law Journal. He received his B.A. cum laude from Spring Hill College. He is admitted to practice in Alabama, Mississippi, and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
