MAYNARD EXPANDS TO MIAMI WITH ADDITION OF SEASONED LITIGATION ATTORNEYS

Maynard & Gale (Maynard) has expanded its national footprint to South Florida with the addition of a Miami office and litigation attorneys Jeannine Jacobson and Latanae Parker. The opening of the Miami office continues the Firm’s strategic growth into top-tier, high-opportunity markets, further establishing Maynard as a nationally recognized law firm with 300 attorneys across 11 offices.
“Jeannine and Latanae are a great professional and cultural fit with our firm — respected, top attorneys in their field who live our core values of client-centered teamwork,” said Jeff Grantham, Maynard’s managing shareholder. “We are excited to add Miami to our footprint further expanding our reach in serving a growing clientele in Florida. This opportunity not only strengthens our Insurance and Managed Care Litigation practices, but it also creates significant growth opportunities in Florida for other practices at the Firm.”
“This expansion – in combination with our moves to Dallas and Nashville in the past year – aligns with the Firm’s focus on strategic growth, enhances our capabilities in key practice areas, and increases our ability to serve our clients across numerous geographies and industries,” said Firm Chairman Greg Curran.
Jeannine Jacobson is an experienced and successful trial and appellate lawyer, and joins Maynard as a Shareholder in the Firm’s Insurance and Managed Care Litigation practice groups. For more than 20 years, she has focused her practice on litigation related to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), managed care, healthcare, insurance coverage, and life, health, disability benefits. Jeannine will drive Maynard’s group insurance and managed care practices across Florida and contribute to practice growth nationwide.
Latanae Parker joins Maynard as a senior Associate with significant experience in ERISA and group insurance litigation and managed care. She focuses her practice on representing life, health, and disability insurers in claim-related litigation as well as healthcare companies in managed care litigation. Latanae has also defended complex and general civil litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida, as well as civil litigation in the areas of property damage and personal injury claims in the representation of insurance carriers and self-insured businesses.
“The addition of Jeannine Jacobson and Latanae Parker with their deep background in representing benefit plans, insurance companies, claim administrators, and self-funded plan sponsors will further solidify the Firm’s nationally recognized Insurance Litigation Practice,” said William Wahlheim, chair of Maynard’s Litigation Section and ERISA Litigation Practice. “We are thrilled about the Firm’s expansion into one of the country’s most dynamic markets, and we look forward to working with Jeannine and Latanae as we further expand Maynard’s insurance industry presence in Florida.”
Maynard’s ERISA Litigation and Managed Care Litigation Groups provide legal services to managed care companies, insurance companies, health plans, third-party administrators, and plan fiduciaries throughout the U.S. Our attorneys have extensive experience with the insurance and managed care industries and have litigated the full spectrum of issues that arise in connection with health care plans. In addition to our established record of obtaining early dismissal or summary judgment, we also have successfully fashioned innovative and bottom-line settlements, both informally and through alternative dispute resolution. The ERISA Litigation and Managed Care Litigation practices are part of Maynard’s Insurance and Financial Services Group with 40 attorneys practicing throughout the country and recently ranked by BTI Consulting as one of the top 37 law firms “Most Feared in Litigation.”
With eleven offices coast to coast, Maynard’s presence in Miami will serve as the latest top-tier business market into which the Firm has expanded over the past six years, joining San Francisco, New York City, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Dallas, and Nashville.
