MAYNARD HOSTS INAUGURAL FORUM OF ALABAMA BUSINESSWOMEN EVENT FOR 100 BIRMINGHAM AREA FEMALE EXECUTIVES
Maynard & Gale hosted a half-day forum for 100 Birmingham area businesswomen at Vulcan Park and Museum on Thursday, September 17th. The first annual Forum of Alabama Businesswomen (FAB) was led by Lauren DeMoss, shareholder at Maynard, and Jennifer McEwen, associate at Maynard, and featured two presentations as well as a keynote speaker. Sarah Glover, associate at the firm, spoke about cybersecurity issues and Stephanie Mayes, shareholder, discussed hot topics in employment. Justin Patton, a motivational speaker from Louisville, KY, presented “Communication with Impact,” an interactive workshop on how to make a presence and communicate with stronger impact and credibility.
The FAB event is part of Maynard’s Women’s Initiative program chaired by Beth O’Neill, shareholder at Maynard. The Women’s Initiative recognizes that women are vital to business success, and aims to foster their professional development, advocate for their professional opportunities and recognition, and promote their advancement to leadership positions within their profession and community.
