MAYNARD, COOPER & GALE, P.C. WELCOMES 10 NEW ASSOCIATES TO ITS BIRMINGHAM OFFICE
Birmingham, Ala. – Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C. is pleased to announce the hiring of ten new associate attorneys in its Birmingham office, including: Bette K. Bradley, Alexander B. Feinberg, Andrea D. Germany, Charles M. Hartman, Vanesa Hernandez, Shema N. Mbyirukira, Jennifer Justice McEwen, Janine A. McKinnon, Eric M. Morris, and David T. Newton.
Bette K. Bradley has joined the Firm’s Health Care and General Corporate practice groups. She graduated magna cum laude from The University of Mississippi School of Law, where she was an Articles Editor for the Mississippi Law Review. While in law school Bradley received the Dean Robert J. Farley award, the Judge Frank Alexander Memorial Scholarship, and the Public Interest Law Scholarship. Prior to law school, Bradley received her master's degree summa cum laude from The University of Tennessee, and her undergraduate degree cum laude from The University of Mississippi.
Alexander B. Feinberg is practicing with the Firm’s Securities Litigation and Insurance and Financial Services Litigation practice groups. Feinberg graduated cum laude from Cumberland School of Law, where he was a Copy Editor for the Cumberland Law Review, a Judge Abraham Caruthers Fellow, and a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Before attending law school, Feinberg graduated from Duke University where he was a recipient of the 2004 Duke Football Mike Suglia Award and a member of the 2006 All Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team.
Andrea D. Germany has joined the Firm’s Insurance and Financial Services Litigation, ERISA, and Group Insurance Litigation and General Litigation practice groups. She is a graduate of Washington & Lee University School of Law, where she was a Burks Scholar, Writing Fellow, and Vice Chair of the Moot Court Executive Board. Prior to law school, Germany graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with University Honors.
Charles M. Hartman has joined the Firm’s General Litigation and Environmental Litigation and Regulatory Compliance practice groups. Hartman is a magna cum laude graduate of The University of Tennessee College of Law where he was a Third Year Editor of the Tennessee Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Executive Board. He was also elected to the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers. Prior to law school, Hartman graduated cum laude from The University of Georgia.
Vanesa Hernandez is practicing in the Firm’s Estate, Trust, and Fiduciary Litigation practice group. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she was on the Dean’s List and a Dean’s Fellow. Hernandez was also a member of the James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society, the Holderness Moot Court Client Counseling Team, and Co-President of the Hispanic/Latino Law Students Association. Prior to law school, Hernandez graduated magna cum laude from The University of Florida.
Shema N. Mbyirukira has joined the Firm’s Insurance and Financial Services Litigation practice group. Mbyirukira is a graduate of The University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was a Dean’s List Honoree, and a member of the James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society and the Honor Court. Prior to law school, Mbyirukira graduated cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College where he was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a two-time recipient of the Big Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Scholar Athlete of the Year Award and a recipient of the Johnny Johnson Most Inspirational Senior Student Athlete Award.
Jennifer Justice McEwen has joined the Firm’s Estate Planning, Business Planning, and Tax practice groups. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, where she was a Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review, a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, and SBA Vice President. McEwen was also a Hugo Black Scholar and a recipient of the Anna C. Curry Leadership Award. Following law school, McEwen received her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. Prior to law school, McEwen graduated from Wake Forest University.
Janine A. McKinnon is practicing in the Firm’s Labor & Employment and General Litigation practice groups. She is a graduate of Howard University School of Law, where she was a Senior Articles Editor for the Howard Law Journal, Vice-President of the Intellectual Property Students Association, and a recipient of the Merit Scholarship. She was also a pupil member of the Giles Sutherland Rich American Inn of Court. Prior to law school, McKinnon received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University where she was a recipient of the Thomas E. Mitchell Scholarship.
Eric M. Morris has joined the Firm’s Securities Litigation practice group. Morris is a magna cum laude graduate of Washington & Lee University School of Law, where he was a staff writer for the Washington & Lee Law Review and inducted into the Order of the Coif. Prior to law school, Morris graduated cum laude from Michigan State University where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
David T. Newton is practicing in the Firm’s General Litigation practice group. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law where he was an Articles Editor for the Kentucky Law Journal, a Provost Fellow, a Laramie Leatherman Scholar, and an Energy and Mineral Law Foundation Scholar. He was also inducted into the Order of the Coif. Prior to law school, he served on active duty in the United States Army as a Signal Officer in the 101st Airborne Division. Newton received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Georgia Institute of Technology.
