MAYNARD, COOPER & GALE, P.C. WELCOMES EIGHT NEW ASSOCIATES TO ITS BIRMINGHAM OFFICE
Sarah S. Glover has joined the firm’s General Litigation practice group. Ms. Glover is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. Ms. Glover is a Hugo Black Scholar and a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school she was an Articles Editor for the Alabama Law Review, a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board, and a member of the ABA National Moot Court Team. Ms. Glover received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama where she was in the University Honors Program. Prior to joining Maynard & Gale, Ms. Glover was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Robert B. Propst, United States District Court, in the Northern District of Alabama.
Katie Kimbrell is practicing with the General Litigation and Securities Litigation practice groups. Ms. Kimbrell is a cum laude graduate of Cumberland School of Law and a member of the Order of the Barristers. While in law school, she was an Associate Editor for the Cumberland Law Review, a Scholar of Merit, a Chief Abraham Carruthers Teaching Fellow, and a two-time recipient of the Hand Arendall Award for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy. She was also a member of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board and the National Moot Court Team. Prior to law school, Ms. Kimbrell attended the University of Georgia where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast News.
James C. “Jay” Lester has joined the firm’s General Litigation practice group. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2011 and was named to the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers. While in law school, Mr. Lester was an Articles Editor for the Alabama Law Review, a recipient of the Dean M. Leigh Harrison Award and a Hugo Black Scholar. Mr. Lester was also a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board and the ABA National Moot Court Team. Mr. Lester received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University. Prior to joining Maynard & Gale, Mr. Lester was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Abdul K. Kallon, United States District Court, in the Northern District of Alabama.
John A. Little, Jr. has joined the firm’s Insurance and Financial Services Litigation practice group. His practice focuses primarily on insurance litigation, including cases involving coverage disputes, bad faith, and fraud. Mr. Little attended the University of Georgia School of Law where he graduated magna cum laude and was admitted to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Georgia Law Review. Mr. Little received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Wake Forest University. Prior to joining Maynard & Gale, Mr. Little served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Emmett Ripley Cox, Senior Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
K. Henson Millsap is practicing with the firm’s Insurance and Financial Services Litigation practice group. Mr. Millsap is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School where he was a Notes Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law and a member of the Moot Court Board. He received his undergraduate degree in Commerce and Economics from The University of Virginia.
Evan P. Moltz has joined the firm’s General Litigation, Product Liability and Environmental Litigation and Regulatory Compliance practice groups. His practice focuses on defending product liability, environmental, and commercial litigation matters. Mr. Moltz attended the University of Alabama School of Law where he graduated summa cum laude. While there, he was the Managing Editor for the Journal of the Legal Profession and a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board, the American Bar Association National Moot Court Team, and the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society. Mr. Moltz received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of Alabama.
Benjamin A. Owens has joined the firm’s Commercial Lending and Real Estate practice groups. Mr. Owens’ practice focuses on all aspects of the representation of lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured transactions, structured finance transactions and multistate transactions. His real estate practice focuses on representing purchasers and sellers on acquisition, development, financing, and leasing matters. Mr. Owens is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law and a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he was a Notes Editor for the Alabama Law Review and a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society. Mr. Owens received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina where he was a recipient of the Wachovia Award for Excellence in Operations Management.
Finis Ewing St. John, V is practicing in the firm’s General Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Governance and Compliance, and the Private Equity and Venture Capital practice groups. Mr. St. John assists in the representation of various business entities in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, dispute resolution, strategic planning, and general corporate matters. He also assists in the representation of venture capital and private equity investors in various financing transactions. Mr. St. John is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.
