Maynard & Gale is pleased to announce that Shareholder Andrew Nix has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association. Andrew also currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Birmingham Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Birmingham Bar Foundation. He has held numerous other leadership positions within both the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar Association, including Chair of the Leadership Forum Section of the Alabama State Bar, Chair of the Business Law Section of the Birmingham Bar, and President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar.

Andrew’s practice is focused in the areas of corporate and securities law. He has significant experience representing both private and publicly held companies in mergers and acquisitions, as well as advising businesses in connection with a broad range of general corporate matters, including corporate structure, formation, and reorganization. Additionally, Andrew represents public companies in public securities offerings and counsels public companies regarding their public reporting obligations and corporate governance matters. He regularly assists publicly held clients with insider ownership reporting, as well as annual, quarterly and current reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Andrew also represents clients in private securities offerings and advises financial services institutions, including banks and bank holding companies, regarding various corporate and securities law issues.
