Maynard & Gale is pleased to announce that shareholder J. Walton Jackson has been selected to serve on The Maritime Law Association of the United States’ Special Committee on Cybersecurity.

The appointments were made by the Association’s Board members and officers at their Annual Meeting in May. According to MLA President Robert Clyne, the work of the Maritime Law Association is conducted through its committee members. Jackson’s role will be instrumental in assisting the Association in meeting its challenges over the next year.

Jackson has almost 20 years of experience as a litigator and is a member of Maynard & Gale’s Insurance and Financial Services Litigation, Consumer and Commercial Financial Litigation, and Admiralty and Maritime practice groups.

He earned his B.A. from Auburn University and his J.D. magna cum laude from The University of Alabama School of Law.
