MAYNARD STRENGTHENS LITIGATION PRACTICE WITH ADDITION OF MICHAEL HUFF
Maynard & Gale is pleased to announce that Michael P. Huff has joined the firm’s Huntsville office as a Shareholder. Mr. Huff, previously a Partner with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, brings over ten years of experience to Maynard’s Complex Commercial Litigation Practice Group.
“We are very excited to add a lawyer with Mike’s background and skill set to our litigation team, which we believe is already leading our market,” said Daniel Wilson, Managing Shareholder of the Huntsville office. “I believe the success we are experiencing in attracting top lateral talent is a function of not only the great team of attorneys we have in place, but also our sophisticated client base. Our deep bench of talented lawyers and value-driven approach gives our team the opportunity to handle sophisticated cases and transactions that are typically seen in much larger markets – all while living in a great community like Huntsville. Add to that the ability to utilize unique talent from our other offices, like San Francisco and New York, and it’s a very powerful mix that doesn’t exist anywhere else in this market.”
“I am excited to join the Maynard team and several of my former colleagues,” said Mr. Huff. “The strength, growth, and energy of Maynard’s Complex Commercial Litigation Practice Group, coupled with several national practices like Government Solutions and Intellectual Property, is unmatched in this market, and I look forward to being a part of it.”
Mr. Huff’s experience litigating various types of matters will complement the diverse practices of Maynard’s Huntsville litigators who are currently engaged in a variety of litigation matters spanning a number of industries and subject matters, including government contracting, employment, health care, real estate development, corporate governance and complex business transactions. The firm has over 125 experienced litigators, including the group in Maynard’s recently opened New York City office.
Mr. Huff earned his J.D. magna cum laude from The University of Alabama School of Law, and he holds a B.S. magna cum laude from Clemson University. He is active in the Defense Research Institute and serves on the Executive Boards of The Care Center of New Hope and Outback America of North Alabama.
Mr. Huff joins Maynard’s Huntsville team of 37 lawyers, lobbyists and professionals who represent a distinguished list of clients throughout the country and overseas.
