In his work at Maynard, Tae leverages a range of professional experiences across industry and geography. His diverse professional background spans international relations, corporate marketing, and finance.
Tae served as an interpretation officer in the United States Air Force, supporting diplomatic efforts in Korea-US Joint Staff Security Talks and earning the U.S. Army Commendation Medal. Following his military service, Tae worked with a Chicago-based advertising agency and played a significant role in advancing the marketing and advertising of one of the firm’s top-tier clients, a high-grossing, internationally recognized chain restaurant. In addition, Tae worked in institutional equity for a leading multinational investment bank and financial services company, focusing his work on high-volume accounts and investments placed in the Northeast Asian market.
Tae’s cross-functional industry experience led him to pursue a career in the legal industry. He obtained his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he was involved with the Emory Business and Finance Society and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Tae joins Maynard with five years of experience as a corporate associate at Atlanta-based law firms.
