MAYNARD WELCOMES THREE EXPERIENCED ATTORNEYS

Maynard is pleased to welcome Caroleene Hardee Dobson and Allison White Smalley to the Firm’s Real Estate practice, and Krishana Pleasant to the Firm’s Commercial Lending practice.

Caroleene Hardee Dobson, Associate in Maynard’s Birmingham office, brings seven years of experience representing clients in all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, developments, dispositions, conservation easements, and commercial leases. She has also handled the representation of multiple institutional leaders in real estate secured transactions. Her diverse client background includes national homebuilders and banks, food and retail chains, landlords, land trusts, private landowners, lenders, and insurance companies with investment properties. Caroleene earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Baylor Law School and B.A. from Harvard College and previously practiced law in San Antonio, Texas.
Krishana Pleasant, Of Counsel in Maynard’s New York office, has a seasoned practice focused on all facets of real estate and real estate finance matters. She works extensively with clients as it relates to the origination and servicing of loans intended for purchase or securitization by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. She also counsels clients on matters related to mixed use, multifamily, senior housing, condominium, retail, office, industrial, and hotel developments. Her clients include commercial real estate investors, developers, lenders, and private business owners across a broad spectrum of industries.
Prior to joining Maynard, Krishana practiced with an AmLaw 100 firm in New York City and was the founder and CEO of a real estate advisory firm. Krishana earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and B.A. from the George Washington University.
Allison White Smalley, Of Counsel in the Firm’s Mobile office, focuses her practice on real estate matters, as well as corporate transactions and commercial lending. Her real estate practice centers around advising clients on a variety of real property matters involving leases, purchases, sales, commercial development, and environmental concerns. She assists clients with mergers, acquisitions, and business formations, as well as the review of business agreements and contracts.
Allison joins Maynard with eight years of experience in private practice. She obtained her J.D. cum laude from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center and B.A. cum laude from Tulane University and served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Roderick P. Stout in the 13th Judicial Circuit of Mobile.
Maynard’s Real Estate & Financial Services Practice represents clients on a comprehensive range of matters, including portfolio and single asset acquisitions and dispositions, ground-up development, public-private partnerships, joint ventures, public and private offerings, real estate fund formation, and financings. In September 2019, Maynard expanded its national geographic footprint to Texas with the addition of a Dallas office and real estate attorneys Matt Hudnall, Karen Cowden, and Allan Katz. More recently, the Firm added a Nashville office to its credentials, onboarding an experienced team comprised of six real estate and corporate attorneys.
