MAYNARD COOPER & GALE WELCOMES TWO ASSOCIATES TO ITS CORPORATE SECTION
Jackson Knouse joins Maynard’s Birmingham office and works with the Firm’s Corporate, Securities & Tax Practice Group. Knouse focuses his practice on assisting emerging and established companies with their investment and strategic business initiatives, including debt and equity financings, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and dispositions. He also represents venture capital investors and private equity firms across the investment and industry spectrums. With his accounting background, Knouse advises clients on issues related to entity formation, taxation, and regulatory compliance. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, and he holds a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in Accounting from the University of Alabama.
Maverick Flowers joins Maynard’s Corporate Securities & Tax Practice Group in the Firm’s Huntsville office. He assists business clients of all sizes and types on a variety of matters, ranging from business formation and succession planning to the execution of strategic transactions. Flowers works closely with privately held entities and family business owners to ensure viable succession planning is in place. He also has experience structuring tax-efficient asset protection plans, as well as estate plans for high net-worth individuals. He earned his LL.M. in Tax and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and he holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama.
