MAYNARD’S ANTHONY JOSEPH NAMED ALABAMA STATE BAR PRESIDENT
Birmingham, Ala. – Anthony A. Joseph was named President of the Alabama State Bar at the Annual Meeting this weekend in Point Clear, Alabama, effective July 20, 2013. Joseph is the second Maynard attorney to hold this prestigious position. More than 300 attorneys from across the State were in attendance. Joseph was inducted Saturday morning to conclude the week of meetings. His announcement was followed by a celebratory reception.
Joseph's practice focuses on white collar criminal defense and general civil litigation. He represents companies and individuals in connection with criminal and regulatory investigations, as well as parallel civil and criminal proceedings. In addition, Mr. Joseph often makes presentations on issues pertaining to white collar criminal defense and other subjects. Prior to joining Maynard, Joseph was employed as an Assistant District Attorney, a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and an Assistant United States Attorney. The Alabama State Bar is dedicated to promoting the professional responsibility, competence and satisfaction of its members, improving the administration of justice and increasing public understanding and respect for the law.
