The Daily Journal's annual Top IP list recognizes California attorneys who provide innovative and winning strategies for clients’ intellectual property matters. This list is comprised from hundreds of nominations submitted statewide, with the honorees selected by editors based on the impact of their work in intellectual property.

Rao is a seasoned intellectual property lawyer with an established record of success for some of the world’s leading companies. She is registered to practice in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and represents clients in Patent Office trials, including covered business method (CBM) and inter partes review (IPR) post-grant invalidity challenges available under America Invents Act.

Other awards received by Rao in the Intellectual Property practice include 2019 Intellectual Property Trailblazer by the National Law Journal and recognition from Chambers USA in the area of Intellectual Property (2018). Her success and talents in the IP field have also earned her recognition by The Best Lawyers in America© in the area of Litigation: Intellectual Property for 2017 and 2018.
