MAYNARD SHAREHOLDER CYNTHIA LAMAR-HART NAMED ONE OF THE SMARTEST WOMEN OF 2015 BY THE WOMEN'S FUND OF GREATER BIRMINGHAM
Maynard & Gale is excited to announce Shareholder Cynthia Lamar-Hart was honored as one Birmingham’s ten Smartest Women of 2015. The Women’s Fund works with agencies in the greater Birmingham area to focus on eradicating poverty and enhancing economic security for women through education, training and other forms of support. It is a collaborative effort of many of Birmingham’s most prominent and engaged professionals and business and community leaders.
Cynthia is the chair of Maynard’s Trust & Estates and Fiduciary Litigation practices. Cynthia also chairs the Firm’s Diversity Committee and Women’s Initiatives, focusing on the recruitment, retention and promotion of women attorneys. She was awarded The Best Lawyers in America Lawyer of the Year for Trust and Estate Litigation in 2015, and Alabama Super lawyers has recognized her among its Top 50 Lawyers in Alabama and Top 25 Women Lawyers in Alabama. In the community, Cynthia serves as a board member for the YWCA of Central Alabama and as a director of its foundation. Additionally, she serves as a planned giving consultant to numerous charities in the area and serves on Birmingham-Southern College’s Norton Board. Cynthia has a special interest in the legal needs of LGBT youth in the Birmingham community, and she provides consulting services for families and schools with transgender students.
