BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (February 14, 2020) — Maynard & Gale is pleased to announce Hannah Darby has joined the Birmingham office as an Associate in its Real Estate and Financial Services practice group.

Darby focuses her practice on representing lenders and borrowers in a variety of financing matters. She also represents buyers, sellers, developers, landlords, and tenants in real estate transactions involving development, leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions. Darby joins Maynard from a Southeastern regional firm.

Darby earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she was a Hugo L. Black Scholar, Dean M. Leigh Harrison Award recipient, and elected to the Order of the Coif. Darby served as an Executive Editor for the Alabama Law Review, John A. Campbell Moot Court Board member and competition quarterfinalist, and member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Philosophy: Jurisprudence Specialization, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama.

Darby is the fifth lateral attorney to join Maynard’s Real Estate & Financial Services practice in the last three months. David Kinman, Shareholder and leader of the Commercial Lending sub-group, Allison Smalley, Of Counsel, Caroleene Dobson, Associate, and David Morton, Associate, all recently joined Maynard from other law firms. In 2019 Maynard expanded its national geographic footprint to Texas and Tennessee. The Dallas and Nashville offices added nine experienced real estate attorneys.
