Seth F. Capper

Seth is a member of Maynard Cooper's Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice. 

Seth regularly advises clients in the areas of employee benefits, tax and business planning, mergers and acquisitions, securities and regulatory compliance. He also has significant experience in estate planning and charitable giving, advising clients on opportunities to minimize estate and income tax, including the implementation of legacy planning, asset protection and estate tax mitigation strategies. 

Prior to joining Maynard, Seth worked for a regional Alabama-based law firm where he regularly advised clients on a variety of transactional, regulatory and tax matters.

David H. "Dave" Cooper

Dave Cooper is a member of Maynard Cooper's Corporate Section with a focus on economic development and incentives. He has represented domestic and international companies in several of the most significant economic development projects in the South and nationally.

Dave has extensive experience representing domestic and international companies during their site selection and incentive negotiation process. His key areas of focus include site selection –greenfield and brownfield, incentive negotiation, cost-benefit and incentive analysis, compliance and risk management, community and governmental relations, commercial real estate transactions, contract negotiation and drafting, as well as new industry planning and implementation. Through Dave’s economic development and site selection practice, he counsels companies on the myriad of issues that arise in expanding or establishing a new facility.

Dave’s recent projects include manufacturing plants, technology parks, distribution centers, corporate headquarters, and back-office operations.

He also represents public and private companies in connection with various corporate matters and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance, business planning, and entity formation. 

Prior to attending law school, Dave worked as a Series 7 registered Investment Analyst and developed institutional and individual client investment portfolios.
