Maynard Nexsen’s Huntsville office is located blocks from historic Downtown Huntsville and Huntsville Hospital, the second largest hospital in Alabama.

Huntsville is home to Redstone Arsenal which houses over 70 government organizations including the Department of Defense, the Missile Defense Agency, Army Material Command, Army Aviation and Missile Command, the FBI, ATF, and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Redstone Arsenal manages over $50 billion of federal spending each year and is the largest employer in Madison County.

Huntsville is a global leader in engineering, technology, telecommunications, biotechnology, cybersecurity, and more. Nearly 300 companies make up Cummings Research Park, the second largest research park in the United States and fourth largest in the world. HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology is located at the center of the park surrounded by Fortune 500s like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, along with local, national, and international enterprises. Facebook and Google are both building $600 Million+ data centers in the Huntsville area.

Huntsville’s bustling business climate has attracted large, advanced manufacturing companies such as Aerojet Rocketdyne, Remington, Polaris, and GE Aerospace. Projects currently under construction include a $1.6 Billion Mazda/Toyota joint venture automobile manufacturing facility and Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, a $200 Million rocket manufacturing facility.

The University of Alabama in Huntsville is one of America’s premier doctoral-granting, research-intensive universities with programs highly ranked by the National Science Foundation.

Huntsville is the largest city in Alabama with a population of 221,000 people (500,000 people in the metro area). Cultural attractions include Constitution Village, where the Alabama Constitution was signed, the Huntsville Museum of Art, the Von Braun Center, and Lowe Mill, the largest privately-owned arts facility in the US. 

The city is an hour and a half south of Nashville and an hour and a half north of Birmingham in the Appalachian foothills surrounded by state parks, rivers, and lakes.
