PAUL W. FREDERICK JOINS MAYNARD, COOPER & GALE’S TRUST AND ESTATE PRACTICE
Maynard, Cooper & Gale is pleased to welcome Paul W. Frederick to its Huntsville, Alabama office. Frederick, a native of Huntsville, has joined the firm’s Corporate and Trust and Estate Practices Of Counsel. Frederick has been practicing law for over 30 years. His practice primarily focuses on Trusts and Estates, Wills and Probates, Estate Litigation, Tax Law, Healthcare Law, and Business Law. He has an extensive health care practice with experience in medical licensure, practice, and governance. Additionally, Frederick speaks regularly to groups regarding estate planning and business topics.
Frederick received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from The University of Alabama. He then received his juris doctor and LL.M. in Taxation from The University of Alabama School of Law. He is a member of the Alabama and Colorado Bar Associations, the Huntsville/Madison County Bar Association, and the Huntsville/Madison County Estate Planning Council. Maynard has a comprehensive estate and business planning practice, which provides sophisticated will and trust drafting; income, estate, and gift tax planning; charitable planning; insurance and employee benefit planning; and a wide variety of creative wealth transfer techniques. We also regularly assist both individual and corporate fiduciaries with all aspects of estate and trust administration. We currently serve as the primary outside counsel for the corporate and personal trust department of Regions Bank. An important component of our estate planning practice has been the representation of family businesses, including planning for both their current operation and their future ownership and management. Our estate planning clients include the chief executives of some of Alabama's largest corporations, as well as numerous owners of closely-held businesses. In addition, Maynard has a fiduciary litigation group that takes a multi-disciplinary approach to matters, bringing to bear both the firm's depth of expertise in all areas of gift and estate tax, estate planning and trust and estate administration as well as the firm's extensive and broad-ranging experience in traditional litigation and pre-litigation dispute resolution. This melding of multiple substantive areas of expertise allows us to represent our clients effectively in every aspect of their fiduciary litigation needs.
