Overview

Carling is Of Counsel in Maynard Nexsen’s Corporate & Business Transactions Practice Group. With a decade of experience practicing law, Carling works with privately held and publicly traded companies on a variety of general corporate matters, and she represents clients operating in various industries on both the buy-side and sell-side of acquisitions.

Carling received her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law where she was the Managing Editor of the SMU Science and Technology Law Review. A dean's scholarship recipient for all three years of law school, she also competed on the Thomas Tang National Moot Court Team, winning regionals and advancing to nationals. She also gained experience interning with the Honorable Gena Slaughter of the 191st Texas Civil District Court. Carling earned her B.A. from Stanford University and has limited proficiency in Vietnamese and Spanish.
