Carling is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Section and a member of the Securities Litigation Practice Group.
Carling’s experience includes a variety of business litigation matters with a focus on complex commercial litigation. She has successfully argued hearings on behalf of clients and has extensive experience drafting motions and pleadings on business-related topics including breach of contract disputes. Prior to graduating from law school, Carling worked as a summer associate in Dallas, TX, at a national plaintiffs’ ﬁrm that litigates cases in jurisdictions across the United States. She also gained experience interning with the Honorable Gena Slaughter of the 191st Texas Civil District Court.
Carling received her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law where she was the Managing Editor of the SMU Science and Technology Law Review. A dean’s scholarship recipient for all three years of law school, she also competed on the Thomas Tang International Moot Court Team, winning regionals and advancing to nationals. Carling earned her B.A. from Stanford University and has basic proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in both Vietnamese and Spanish.
