Daniel is the Firm's Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Shareholder of the Huntsville, Alabama and Washington, D.C. offices. Daniel previously served on the Firm's Board of Directors.
Daniel is a member of the Government and Regulatory Affairs and Real Estate practice groups. His practice is concentrated in the following areas, with a particular emphasis on technology and advanced manufacturing companies, specifically firearms manufacturers:
Government Relations
- Represents and advises private companies on federal and state governmental matters
- Advises clients on the establishment and maintenance of federal Political Action Committees
- Advises campaigns on the organization and maintenance of federal campaign organizations
Economic Development and Public Incentives
- Advises clients in connection with the relocation or expansion of operations utilizing state and local economic development incentives, including economic development grants, training and recruiting incentives, tax abatements and credits, and the structuring of capital and job commitments and recaptures
Commercial Development and Financing
- Represents developers and private users in the acquisition, construction, leasing, financing and development of commercial office buildings, commercial, residential and resort condominiums, manufacturing facilities, research projects, warehouse and industrial projects, including industrial development tax abatements and industrial site grants
- Specializes in the structuring of “public/private” developments in downtown urban areas
- Regularly advises clients on ownership and equity structure, financing, leasing, construction, land use planning, zoning, title, permitting and subdivision issues
- Represents lenders in all types of commercial lending, including asset-based lines of credit, real estate development and construction, letter of credit financing, tax incentives, industrial development financing, leveraged leasing, and government contract financing
