Dave Cooper is a member of Maynard Cooper’s Corporate Section with a focus on corporate, real estate, economic development and incentives matters. He is listed among The Best Lawyers in America© and has represented domestic and international companies in several of the most significant economic development projects in the South and nationally. Dave also represents companies on a variety of corporate and real estate related projects.
His key areas of focus include site selection –greenfield and brownfield, incentive negotiation, cost-benefit and incentive analysis, compliance and risk management, community and governmental relations, commercial real estate transactions, contract negotiation and drafting, as well as new facility planning and implementation. Through Dave’s corporate and economic development practice, he counsels companies on the myriad of issues that arise in the process of growing a company’s business. Dave’s recent projects include manufacturing plants, technology parks, distribution centers, corporate headquarters, and back-office operations.
Dave also represents public and private companies in connection with other growth opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, real estate acquisitions and negotiations, business planning, and entity formation.
Prior to attending law school, Dave worked as a Series 7 registered Investment Analyst and developed institutional and individual client investment portfolios.
