Overview

Douglas is Of Counsel in Maynard Nexsen’s Litigation section. His practice focuses on commercial civil trial work, appellate matters, and mediation.

His practice has covered business and commercial matters, including civil fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, broker and professional liability, unfair trade practices, copyright, trademark and patent infringement, and lender liability issues, as well as complex contract, corporate, partnership, real estate, and construction-related cases.

For a number of years, his practice included substantial litigation involving the trial of claims brought against entities and individuals engaged in satellite signal piracy under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Doug’s role in these cases was as consulting senior trial and appellate counsel throughout Florida, the Eastern U.S., and included appeals argued before the Federal 4th, 5th, and 11th Circuits.

Douglas holds a B.A. in political science from Stetson University. He received his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law.
