Jack's Profile

Jack is an associate in Maynard Cooper’s Corporate Securities and Tax Practice Group with a focus on the firm’s Private Equity and Venture Capital, Emerging Growth, and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups. Jack’s experience includes advising emerging growth companies, public companies and private equity and other investment funds on M&A, financing and general corporate transactions, as well as providing post-acquisition management of portfolio companies and general corporate guidance to in-house counsel. Jack has worked in a range of sectors, including technology, healthcare, life sciences, logistics, insurance, energy, media, entertainment, and aviation.

Prior to joining the Firm, Jack was an associate in the corporate practice of an international law firm in New York. Jack also has experience launching startups, film & TV development, investment banking, and public equity research and analysis. Jack currently serves on the advisory board of Rivanna Investments, a student-run investing club that manages funds for the University of Virginia School of Law Foundation.

  • Represented Franklin Templeton as lead investor in $31 million Series B round of Voyage Auto, a provider of autonomous taxicab services in retirement communities

  • Represented My Supply Chain Group, a leading provider of Service Chain process re-engineering and application implementation services, in its sale to itelligence, a subsidiary of NTT Data
  • Represented SofterWare, a provider of CRM management and online payment processing software in the nonprofit, childcare, and summer camp markets, in its sale of a division to Procare
  • Represented MainStreet Family Urgent Care, a leading urgent care provider, in its sale to Trinity Hunt Partners
  • Represented Daxko in its acquisition of Motionsoft, a thought leader in member management software that powers some of the largest brands in the club industry
  • Represented Avanti in its sale of Avanti Polar Lipids, Inc. to Croda International
  • Represented Strategywise in its sale of Strategywise to E Source
  • Represented Daxko in its acquisition of UpLaunch, a CRM and marketing automation software, designed for the unique needs of affiliate and boutique gyms
