Government Contracts
Jon has more than a decade of experience working with government contractors and government entities. Jon uses this extensive background and understanding of his client’s business goals to help his clients on a large number of matters related to their business. His work history in private practice and the intelligence community includes bid protests, claims, and terminations in both unclassified and classified matters. In connection with those matters, Jon has successfully represented numerous clients at the Government Accountability Office, Court of Federal Claims, Armed Services and Civilian Boards of Contract Appeals, Small Business Administration, and the Defense Office of Hearing and Appeals.
Jon also routinely assists clients in negotiations with such agencies as DCAA, DCMA, DSS, and GSA. He recognizes that many companies also need assistance with day-to-day contracting administration matters and assists in discussions with contracting officers on a broad range of topics, including data rights protection, personal and organizational conflicts of interest, small business compliance, requests for equitable adjustment, privacy, and mandatory disclosures.
Cybersecurity
Jon works closely with companies on regulations and policy related to cybersecurity. He monitors the constantly changing security landscape closely to be best able to advise clients on the latest questions and issues facing companies related to cybersecurity as well as responding to FISA requests and NSLs.
Jon received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
