Megan is an Associate and focuses her practice in the areas of trusts and estates, fiduciary advisory services, and related litigation.
In her estate planning practice, Megan works closely with families and individual clients to assist them with their estate planning needs, charitable giving, and wealth preservation. She has experience preparing wills, trust agreements, and other documents to implement effective plans.
Another significant portion of Megan’s practice is in the area of advising fiduciaries, including trust departments, trust companies, and wealth management firms, with matters involving the administration of estates and trusts and overall risk management. Using her background in litigation, Megan also represents individual and corporate trustees and executors in pre-litigation disputes, mediations, trials, and appellate proceedings.
Megan is recognized in Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” in the areas of Trusts and Estates, Litigation: Trusts and Estates, and Commercial Litigation. She received her J.D. from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, where she was named to the Dean’s List all semesters. While at Cumberland, Megan served as a Judge Abraham Caruthers Legal Writing Fellow and received the S. Pierce Award. While in law school, Megan also earned her MBA from Samford University’s Brock School of Business. She graduated magna cum laude with a BS in agricultural leadership and development from Texas A&M. Between her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, Megan spent two years teaching in under-resourced public schools in Alabama with Teach For America.
