She has also developed a niche practice in complex title disputes. Additionally, Mya has extensive experience in general contract disputes within the commercial business and real estate sectors while also operating as a Supreme Court Certified Circuit and County Court Mediator.
Mya’s experience includes matters involving compliance issues, employment law, foreclosures, landlord-tenant disputes, probate disputes, real estate title claims, and construction litigation. Responsible for overseeing clients’ compliance with controlling rules and regulations, Mya has extensive experience representing business owners, shareholders, physician groups and facilities, national retail tenants, property owners, developers, homeowner and condominium associations, contractors, financial institutions, and insurance companies in complex litigation matters across the state of Florida.
Prior to joining Maynard, Mya served as the Litigation Co-Chair at a Central Florida firm. She received her B.S. and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Georgetown University, and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami Law School. Mya is a frequent lecturer on various legal topics concerning real estate including construction lien law, mortgage fraud, real property litigation, and landlord/tenant law.
