Shruti is a member of the Securities Litigation Practice Group, where she defends financial institutions primarily in FINRA arbitrations. Shruti is experienced in litigating a wide range of issues for some of the largest financial instructions in the United States. Shruti has handled cases alleging unsuitability, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and other operations-based cases. She is proficient in handling all stages of litigation – from pre-dispute resolution to final hearing. Shruti has litigated many cases to $0 awards for her clients, both in the hearing room and through dispositive motions.
Prior to joining Maynard Cooper, Shruti clerked with the 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama.
Shruti serves on the Junior Board of WBHM, the NPR station for the Heart of Alabama. She volunteers her spare time as a coach and judge for high school mock trial and debate teams. Shruti is also passionate about increasing diversity in the legal field.
