Shruti is a member of the Firm's Litigation Section and focuses her practice in the areas of Securities Litigation and Commercial Litigation involving a wide range of business disputes involving breach of contract, cyber issues, and privacy breaches, among others.
In her securities practice, Shruti defends financial institutions primarily in FINRA arbitrations. Shruti is experienced in litigating a wide range of issues for some of the largest financial instructions in the United States. She has handled cases alleging unsuitability, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and other operations-based cases for a wide range of business clients. She is proficient in handling all stages of litigation – from pre-dispute resolution to final hearing - and she has successfully defended clients resulting in $0 verdicts for her clients, both in the hearing room and through dispositive motions.
Prior to joining Maynard, Shruti clerked with the 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama.
Shruti volunteers her spare time as a coach and judge for high school mock trial and debate teams. Shruti is also passionate about increasing diversity in the legal field.
