Overview

Taylor is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Real Estate & Financial Services and Consumer & Commercial Finance Litigation Practice Groups. He represents borrowers and lenders in a variety of real estate financing matters. Taylor also represents developers, landlords, tenants, buyers, and sellers in real estate transactions involving entity and fund formation, development, leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions.

Prior to joining Maynard, Taylor was an associate at a full-service law firm where he defended large national financial service institutions in various matters throughout California, Texas and Federal courts, including on appeal. Taylor represented mortgage originators, servicers, and investors in lawsuits arising under the Texas Constitution, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Truth in Lending Act, Uniform Commercial Code, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and those based on lending, collection and deceptive trade practice laws, breach of contract, wrongful foreclosure, fraud and other federal and state regulations.

Taylor received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Taylor is a Dallas native and spent a year as a visiting student at SMU Dedman School of Law, where he was a founding member of the Tax Law Society. Taylor graduated cum laude from St. John’s University, as a Presidential Scholar, where he majored in History and minored in Business Administration.
