SIX NEW ASSOCIATES JOIN MAYNARD

Maynard is pleased to announce that six lawyers who recently graduated from law schools across the United States have joined the Firm.

"We are excited to welcome this premier group of talented young professionals in our 2021 class of new associates," said Stephanie Mays, Maynard's Chief Talent Officer. "Each of these lawyers demonstrates the character and personal qualities we seek in building our ranks, and we look forward to working with them and introducing them to our clients."

The 2021 class of new associates:

Molly Brannan joins Maynard's Public Finance Practice in the Birmingham office. She earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. Molly holds a J.D. and a Certificate of Specialization in Law & Business. She earned a B.S.B.A., cum laude, in Accounting from Auburn University. While at Auburn University, Molly co-founded and served as Treasurer for Auburn for Water, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving water conditions by digging wells and providing filters in India and Cambodia.

C. William Courtney is a member of Maynard's Insurance & Financial Services Practice in the Birmingham office. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and he holds a B.A. in Government and Economics from The University of Virginia where he was a member of the Virginia Men’s Rowing team.

Catherine Milling joins the Litigation Practice in the Birmingham office where she will focus on product liability matters. She is a graduate of The University of Alabama School of Law, where she earned a J.D., cum laude, and served as Editor Chief of The Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review. She is a graduate of Auburn University where she earned a B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science.

Cole Peck also joins Maynard's Litigation Practice in the Birmingham office. He holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School where he served on the Vanderbilt Law Review. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in Politics with a minor in Africana Studies from Washington and Lee University.

Sarah Rawls joins Maynard's Labor& Employment Practice in the Firm's Birmingham office. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law where she served as Managing Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and was a Scholar of Merit in Labor Law. She graduated from The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with a B.B.A., cum laude, in Real Estate.

Matt Russ joins Maynard's Corporate Practice in the Firm’s Huntsville office. Mr. Russ earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law where he served as Associate Case Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal. He holds a B.A., cum laude, in Political Science from Mississippi State University.
