Maynard & Gale is pleased to announce that Starr Drum has been selected as a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals. The FIP designation is reserved for individuals with considerable achievements and contributions in advancing the privacy profession. In order to be selected, recipients must have a proven track record of comprehensive knowledge of privacy laws, privacy program management, and essential data protection practices. Candidates must demonstrate qualification through a combination of examinations, significant on-the-job experience, and references who vouch for the nominee’s contributions to the privacy profession. Globally, just over six hundred privacy professionals are certified FIPs.

Starr is a member of Maynard's Cybersecurity and Privacy group and has extensive experience in developing globally compliant privacy and information governance policies and programs to manage the content and volume of data and protect its safety and security. Much of Starr’s work involves supporting organizations in attaining compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
