Stephen Bumgarner Contributes to American Bar Association’s State Consumer Protection Law Treatise

12.05.2022

Maynard is proud to share that Stephen Bumgarner served as a contributing author for the American Bar Association’s newly published State Consumer Protection Law treatise. The treatise assembles the consumer laws of all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Due to the variation of laws among states, state consumer protection law poses distinct challenges for practitioners. This treatise provides a coherent and objective summary of court decisions, enforcement actions, and regulations in the constantly evolving consumer law area. Mr. Bumgarner authored the Alabama chapter of the treatise.

As a Shareholder and member of the Insurance and Financial Services Litigation practice group, Mr. Bumgarner represents clients in the financial services sector. His practice focuses on business litigation, class actions, and complex commercial disputes. In addition, Mr. Bumgarner’s practice encompasses the representation of health care providers and manufacturers in a cross-section of litigation matters.

The treatise is available for purchase from the American Bar Association.
